Now Innokin aren’t new to pod systems, but this is the first time Innokin has slapped the ‘Kroma’ name on a pod kit and added a ‘Z’ on the end for good measure!

The Z Force tank uses two new ZF coils. They include two layers of mesh designed to create a more saturated and flavoursome vape. It’s what Innokin refer to as their Duo mesh system. The pod of the Kroma-Z is held in place with strong magnetic connectors. To remove the pod, grip it firmly and pull up from the top of the Kroma-Z. If it won’t budge free, try pushing up on one side of the pod firmly until it pops up from the base, and then lift the remaining side up. I received the Mariana Blue which looks really nice from up close—but based on the pics, I really prefer the look of the Riverwood one. Still, the one I have looks great. The outside frame is a shiny brushed gunmetal that doesn’t fingerprint when you touch it. Reminds me of the nicer-looking mods of the past years like the Tesla Steampunk Nano 120.

The new Kroma-Z Pod Mod is fully compatible with the entire Z-Coil line, making it desirable for vapers who have come to love the Zenith, Zenith Pro, and Zlide tanks. The Kroma-Z is equipped with a magnetic pod bay by default which is not compatible with a 510 connected device. However, the Kroma-Z has a separate magnetic 510 connector adapter available which allows you to utilize all of your 510 devices with the Kroma-Z once attached, which is the standard threading for most vaporizers and atomizers. The spring loaded 510 connector is mounted more towards the front of the Mod. So if you’re planning on using an alternative tank don’t expect to get away with anything over 25mm without overhang. When using a single 18650 battery the Mod will power up to a maximum of 80W. By removing the battery adaptor and replacing with a 21700 the power increases to 100W. Things have an immediate impact when stepping up to 65W (3.6V) and cutting airflow in half. The vape now becomes semi restrictive and pretty much around the level I personally prefer.

It’s also possible to chain vape at the maximum power setting of 80W (4V). That is impressive because I’ve had issues in the past when testing mesh at these levels. No dry hits here, folks!
