About this deal

Remy (the matched vampire) directly compares himself to Damon Salvatore from ‘The Vampire Diaries’, stating that he thinks the character may have been modelled after him. Now, given the behaviour of our immature and petulant male lead, I think that is a bit of a stretch. Though the ability to influence and erase humans memories is present. The vampires in this story are able to walk around in the sun *cough* ‘Twilight’ *cough* however rather than sparkling like little bitches the sun weakens their superior strength, though not enough to really make any difference when it comes to a power struggle between the two species. Mind reading is present, as well, and a special skill that not all vampires have. There is also a whole kidnapped by the Big Bad element that feels very reminiscent of the first movie in the saga. Ellie realizes that she has to keep Xavier at arm’s length so that she can avoid getting hurt. She vows she is not going to respond to him, but each night, he wears her defenses away. It leaves her just as lost and powerless to the guy as she ever was. What was once a cold marriage of convenience turns to red hot passion, but just for the sake of an heir. But then Alex reappears in her life, complicating things. Looking into his emerald green eyes, she knows that staying away from him will be an uphill battle.

I recommend this book to vampire lovers and paranormal romance readers. 18 + for her vivid dreams of sex and actual sex lol and of course blood, guts and gore oh my!This is an enjoyable and entertaining story, just like the other books by Clare Connelly. Eleanor and Apollo have some fantastic chemistry with each other and make for quite a dynamic pair. Kat T Masen’s “Chasing Her” follows Julian and Charlotte as they try to make their love work. Julian had once experienced devastating loss and Charlie may be the woman to make him get over it. Now the comparability to ‘True Blood’ is less apparent (though the show is mentioned on a few occasions) other than the whole: Had writing not panned out for her, Clare would have pursued her second greatest career love: food. She grew up working in some wonderful kitchens and read cookbooks her entire life as though they were novels. She even worked on cooking blogs and with one of the doyennes of Australian cookery. Clare still indulges the passion she has for French cuisine any time she is able to. This passion of hers is totally at odds with the type 1 diabetes and it requires her to reign in at times.

The author was born and brought up in Sydney, Australia and grew up at a time when fancy gadgets and social media did not exist. With no screen to distract her she used to spend much of her time reading stories and it was during this time that she came to love stories. With such a high profile victim, the pressure to find the murderer is instant and extreme. And it only increases when the killer strikes again – leaving behind another mutilated body, posed in exactly the same way. Blue eyes, there are some things money can’t buy. Modest upbringing or not, you had a college education. You had a law school education. Once you pass the bar, you’ll be able to get a job that pays decent money. And with your looks and that luscious body of yours, you’ll have no problem attracting another guy in no time. So don’t tell me you don’t have privilege.” Sabine has big dreams for her life, and none of them include becoming a vampire’s concubine. On her 18th birthday, she seeks solitude to process the cruel turn her destiny has taken. As she sits alone in Cleary Park, a sexy stranger approaches her. He’s tall, mysterious, handsome, and a complete jerk. He soon reveals himself to be a vampire and she’s terrified of him and her strange attraction to him. She wants to get as far away from him as possible, yet finds herself wondering if she’ll see him again. This book had it all… suspense, action, intrigue, a crazy serial killer, murder, and great police work! … kept me glued to my Kindle ! I highly recommend reading this book and series!” -Netgalley Reviewer She now combines her love for the swoony men from the 90s, 80s bands and her love for reading to write her humorous and sexy novels.

Welcome to Willow Creek. People are happy, crime is practically nonexistent, life is good… unless you’re Sabine Crowley, who has been chosen to be the next blood bag for the vampire lord who has protected the town from otherworldly creatures for 200 years. She writes the “Sheikhs’ Brides” series, the “Casacelli Family Saga”, the “Clare Connelly Sheikhs” series, the “Henderson Sisters” series, the “Evermore” series, and the “Hometown Hero” series.Eleanor had fallen for Apollo pretty hard, which made it impossible to write the story that she had been hired to research. Rather than betray the guy she loved, she quit working as a junior reporter. Her editor took the notes she had made and used them to publish the one article that would define Eleanor’s career as a journalist.
