About this deal

if you couldn’t already tell…i have FINALLY chosen my team. i am a grayson girly🥳jennifer did not make it easy. she had both these men playing tug of war with me…absolutely EXHAUSTING! THIS MAN DID NOT HAVE A PERSONALITY. HE WAS JUST A TRENCH COAT OF FORTUNE COOKIE QUOTES. FLEXED HIS ABS A LITTLE AND CALLED IT A DAY. not this billionaire secretly surveilling a low income teenage girl for most of her adolescence while she's struggling to stay afloat and literally living out of her car? taking and saving photos of her without her knowledge? and hoarding his wealth all the while? while she's barely scraping by? until the day he dies and finally decides—now that he no longer needs that wealth—it'll all go to her in exchange for using her as a pawn in his family's trauma olympics? GUILLOTINE! if you haven’t started this series yet…well besties, this is definitely your sign🤭the first word that comes to mind when i think of this book: addicting. absolutely addicting. if i were able to…i would’ve finished this book in less than a day for sure.

screaming because the way this man knows she can take care of herself, but he still wants to do everything he can to make sure she’s safe🥲my MAN. i can see that," nash replied softly. "but if you decide you'd like to give me a name? i'd take it." I love puzzles and riddles. In fact, I don't usually enjoy YA mystery because I can never understand why they decide to be detectives and don't call the police, but here it makes a lot more sense because Avery and the Hawthorne brothers are not crime-solving, they are puzzle-solving. It's very fun. these 5 stars are for grayson and grayson only🤰if he wasn’t in this book…i would’ve given it 4 stars. i was gonna go right down the middle for my final rating and give it a 4.5, but i enjoyed this book WAY more than the first one and that one was 5 stars for me. so i had a very hard time with the rating. why am i like this? :D

Retailers:

the only side characters i’m totally obsessed with are libby and nash🤭i don’t like thea. idk about rebecca yet, i think she’s fine, but we’ll see. idk why but xander kind of annoyed me? he reminds me of a little snake in the grass. is that just me!? or maybe i just loved the other three brothers way more and didn’t really care for xander IDK lol maybe my opinion will change when i read the second book hehe. max…every time she spoke i just wanted her to stfu. her replacing swear words with words that sound like them was so cringe. she’s what…17!? i don’t have a problem with not wanting to say swear words, but just talk normally then😩 jameson winchester hawthorne is hungry. he's been looking for something. he's been looking for it since the day he was born.” And lastly, the plot. THE PLOT. It was AMAZING!! I expected a great mystery, and it definitely delivered. With the plot being at a really fast pace and having twists & turns at every corner, I was riveted and absolutely desperate to find out more. AND THAT CLIFFHANGER---- 🤯🤯🤯🤯 Relying too much on the romance to hook the reader. By the end, I was just annoyed. It was clear that the love triangle was there to disguise the fact that nothing much really happens with the puzzles and plot. Do I still think that Avery and Grayson are endgame? Yes, and they'll be the only reason I read the final book (if I do). (Avery met Grayson first... so by love triangle logic this means they'll end up together lol.) just why exactly did this book feel like half of it was avery trying to figure out what boy she wanted. im still confused like…. you have all this crazy shit going on and people are trying to kill you and youre trying to figure out who you see standing on a cliff with you when you close your eyes??

grayson wanted me safe, and i wasn’t. having inherited the hawthorne fortune, i might never be safe again. Good.” Grayson Hawthorne actually smiled—and then he caught himself smiling, like it was forbidden for his lips to do that in my vicinity.Xander: I really like Xander! A fun character who definitely balances out Grayson’s coldness and Jameson’s cheekiness. He always adds some much needed humour, and I can also imagine him being super cute hehehe 😏😏🤣🤣 I am so intrigued with what the truth is behind this family. I love the continuation of the use of riddles and games, as well as Avery getting the chance to team up with the brothers to solve different aspects of the mystery.
